Agricultural Best Management Practices (BMPS)

This course covers general content relative to working with agricultural work groups and producers to include agricultural BMPs in WPPs to address NPS pollution sources. Content includes general principles behind agricultural BMPs, discusses goals and objectives of BMPs, and highlights commonly implemented practices across the state. It also discusses technical and financial assistance programs and highlights the process a landowner would go through to receive this assistance. The afternoon portion of this training allows participants to see and learn about on-the-ground agricultural BMPs. TWRI coordinates with the USDA, NRCS, TSSWCB and others to develop content and deliver this course.
